That video is really funny, and it's always a pleasure to see them. This is such a nice surprise! |

Very fun video! Transgressive are really getting behind Sparks, which is great b/c it means the label must really believe in them. |

There is a new Song of
David Byrne…
My Apartment Is My Friend
I think it has nice Sparks vibe
a cover by Sparks would be nice
on this EP… |

Madder is magnificent. I like all the songs more than I like a number of songs on Mad. I hope you all get to hear it soon. _________________ better drop the requirement that everything be great |

I was half 'n half as to what I was thinking about 'Porcupine' when I first heard it but after seeing the superbly humorous video it's got me hooked & with the Gorilla release hopefully it'll get some radio play so fingers crossed for some chart success & recognition.

I think Sparks have ended up (after many years of hard slog, determination, dedication and sheer ability and creative vision) in a wonderfully joyous space whereby no matter what they do now will be viewed as innovative and ground breaking....
(Still a bit on the fringes of mass popularity)
And so it should be....they have carved a huge shape in pop sculpture......l dont really care what they do now.....l will love it!!
I don't examine what David Hockney paints these days....he's a magnificent artist....l love what he does even if it perplexes me....to me they are the equivalent in pop music...... |

I just posted about Madder on The Happy Dictator page because I got to hear the EP in full and the aforementioned song on the same day. I almost exploded. I LOVE Madder (Porcupine is good, the other three songs are GREAT). Can't wait for you all to hear them. _________________ better drop the requirement that everything be great |

Porcupine is a very moderate unspecial Song…
the other 3 are outstanding ….
they do sound like a melange of The Girl…
and A Woofer… well, in a way … |

Just watched the Porcupine video to get myself in a good mood for work(!).....and my favourite bit now, which l hadn't really noticed much before was the clip of them standing motionless and zombie like either side of a sign that said "Live Wires"......😂
(So looking forward to the E.P.) |

1st of October,so l'm beginning my countdown now to receipt of the MADDER e.p. (it better not be late)
The timing is rather good as it might help fill the gap now that all the touring activity is over......😢

I think it's a trait of the last 12 or so years, that Sparks seem to favour relatively weaker (or maybe 'safer' is a better word?) tracks as singles. (I've only heard porcupine at this point though ... and won't pick up my copy of the EP until I return to the UK in early November). |
